ABOUT US
Welcome to Thurrock Community Radio, a non-profit, community-run radio station based in Grays.

Our mission is to provide a platform for local voices to be heard, and to connect our community through the power of radio.
Under the guidance of Steve Langsdale, our volunteer programme controller, the station runs for 24 hours a day and has a rapidly growing listener base.
With local community volunteer presenters, Neil Woodbridge, Rachel Gallehawk and Nigel Freeman, we cover a huge range of local interests and eclectic music and are passionate about bringing the best in local news, music, and entertainment to our listeners.

At TCBR we believe that everyone has a story to tell, and we are committed to providing a platform for local people to share their experiences, opinions, and perspectives. Whether it's through our recorded shows, interviews, or music programming, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with our audience and showcase the best that Thurrock has to offer.

We are committed to working closely with local businesses, organisations, and individuals to promote the best in local culture, art, and entertainment.
You will see on this website opportunities to volunteer, and to sponsor the station and we thank you for your continued support.

Neil Woodbridge
A ‘not very famous’ musician from the 80’s, Neil has been in and around music since he first played triangle in 1969. Still an avid gig goer as well as the CEO of a fantastic local Social Enterprise that sponsors this station. From Chill Shows, to Gig Shows as well as just conversation – he gives it his all.
Steve Langsdale
Steve has been involved in Local Radio since the 1980’s. He spent many a happy year running the Library for a huge station in Norfolk. Replaced by a computer, Steve moved back to Thurrock and continues to entertain people with his superb knowledge of all things musical. Robin is a long-time contributor to TCBR owing to his near 40-year friendship with Steve Langsdale from their days in commercial radio in Norwich. They frequently talk about their time together on the Steve & Robin shows on Wednesdays and Sundays. Robin is a former BBC sports presenter and reporter on radio and TV.
Nigel
Freeman
Nigel is the power behind TCBR as he produces and creates the content that goes on air every day. Nigel's vast record collection and knowledge helps him create a number of his own shows for the station too.
